IA‑Ready 2026: the current landscape
In 2026 the Artificial Intelligence market is led by four major systems: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Claude. ChatGPT holds 60.7% of the generative chatbot market. The global AI sector grows from 294 billion dollars in 2025 to 376 billion in 2026, while worldwide AI spending reaches 2.5 trillion dollars. AI is now integrated into phones, browsers and operating systems.
From traditional search to AI
Google still holds over 90% of the search market, but more than 50% of searches end with no clicks. Users read the answer directly on the results page. This “zero‑click” behaviour is amplified by AI systems, which answer directly and show only what they clearly understand. Google processes over 99,000 searches per second, but more and more people start their search directly with AI.
Impact on tourism
In tourism the shift is clear. Users first ask the AI to find hotels, restaurants or activities that match their needs. The AI suggests a few names. Only afterwards do users check prices and reviews on Google or Maps and then book. If the AI does not understand who a property is, where it is located and what it offers, it simply does not show it.
Why IA‑Ready matters
IA‑Ready is a technical and semantic standard that allows AI systems to correctly recognize a property’s identity, location and services. It prevents interpretation errors, improves visibility in AI‑generated answers and ensures the property is included in AI results and autonomous agents. The 2026 season is the first where decisions start with AI: IA‑Ready websites appear, others risk disappearing.
